Garrick has always been passionate about playing the violin and viola. He would love to teach students the joy of playing the strings, no matter what levels the beginners are, as well as those who need to prepare for Australian Music Examination Board exams.

Garrick is currently an undergraduate completing the Bachelor of Music Studies degree, majoring in contemporary music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. During the first two years of university, Garrick joined the Sydney University Symphony Orchestra as a violist and performed publicly at least twice a year.

Garrick started learning violin in the age of six and achieved ABRSM Grade 8 Violin Exam. He learnt viola at age of ten and achieved ABRSM Grade 8 at a very young age. He has a vast knowledge of violin and viola, with an exceptional ability to play both instruments.

Garrick has performed numerous times playing the violin and viola both as a soloist and as a member of an orchestra. Garrick joined the Hong Kong Children Symphony Orchestra at age of ten. He started playing in the violin session for a year, then switched to the viola session for another four years. During these years in the orchestra, Garrick performed overseas including America, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, Austria, and many more.
