Joshua is a highly motivated and approachable teacher who is eager to share his passion of music with everyone. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Music Education), majoring in Violin Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Joshua brings a wealth of pedagogical knowledge and lived experience to his practices as a music educator. Joshua has studied violin for over a decade and is currently under the tutelage of Associate Professor Ole Bohn.
His primary principles as a violin tutor are ensuring that students experience a holistic understanding and appreciation of music through developing not only instrumental skills but also a students' aural, theoretical and practical abilities. Joshua also emphasises putting his students first by training their capacity for self reflection and guiding students based on their personal interests.
Joshua has a lot of experience in nurturing young students with leadership positions in school orchestras. He is a very patient and empathetic teacher who enjoys helping people achieve their goals as musicians.
