Kerrie Yu is a dedicated violinist with a passion for music and teaching. She began her violin journey at the age of five and was awarded her AMEB Associate in Music (AMusA) in 2022. Currently, Kerrie is pursuing a Bachelor of Music (Music Education) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in violin performance under the instruction of Associate Professor Ole Bohn.
Kerrie is an all-rounded musician, actively involved in orchestras, string ensembles, choirs, and string quartets. She achieved remarkable results in her HSC Music Course, earning a Band 6 in both Music 2 and Music Extension. As an active member of the Sydney Youth Orchestras, Kerrie regularly participates in music tours and performances.
Kerrie prioritises maintaining an excellent rapport with her students. As a teacher, she is patient and encouraging, tailoring her lesson plans to accommodate various skill levels and learning styles. This fosters a nurturing and engaging learning environment for her students.
