Thompson Lee

Thompson is a pianist, conductor, choral singer, and educator dedicated to cultivating musical excellence and fostering a love of music-making in his students. He is highly passionate about music and arts education, and his wide range of musical experiences has allowed him to incorporate an integrated approach to music pedagogy.

Thompson’s music journey started from a young age, when he started learning piano and singing in choirs. In his time in Hong Kong, was awarded an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for the highest mark in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and completed the ABRSM piano grade exams.

In 2025, he completed his Bachelor of Music (Performance) in classical piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under the distinguished pianist Clemens Leske. Thompson performed across his tertiary education, including lunchbreak concerts, opera performances, and international tours. He has also received training, mentorship and masterclasses in conducting and choral singing from teachers at the Conservatorium and notable guest conductors.

Beyond the piano studies, Thompson is a current member of VOX, run by the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs that regularly performs at the Sydney Opera House. Additionally he was invited to be the assistant conductor for National Youth Choir of Australia and the Sydney University Musical Society Small Group.
